ECOIMSA started in 1989 as an authorized company
for the collection of hydrocarbon waste from
ships (MARPOL annex I). In 1992 it became
a part of the TRADEBE GROUP and in 1994 started
the industrial waste treatment plant, located
on the pier of Inflammable Liquids in the
Port of Barcelona. |

It is authorized as a waste manager by the
Autonomous Community of Catalonia with management
certificate E-49.92 and has the concession
for treatment of waste coming from ships (MARPOL). |

Its installations house different types of
waste treatment processes, such as physiochemical
and biological, evaporation, thermal desorption,
stabilization and renewal of hydrocarbons. |
|
Their aim is based on the improvement of processes
and the minimization of environmental impact,
taking on a commitment to quality and the
environment, carried out in the ISO 9001:2000
and ISO 14001:2004 certifications. |
