In 1998 the Tradebe Group was awarded by public
tender a contract with the Regional Council
of l'Anoia for the construction and operation
of a compost plant. Thus, the filial company
PROINTRAVAL was created, titleholder of the
award, which has the certificate of waste
manager E-707.00 in the Autonomous Community
of Catalonia. |

In its installations located in Jorba, quality
compost is obtained from organic elements
selected from municipal wastes, organic wastes
from the agricultural and food industries,
sewage sludge and plant material from pruning. |

In 2004, the installations were enlarged,
which allowed the treatment capacity of the
plant to be increased from 3500 T/year to
70,000 T/year. |
